The 5-meal feeder is perfect for vacations-- your pet-sitter will thank you! It’s also a great option for pets who need to eat several small meals each day. The automatic feeder is easy to use and will have your pets running to the sound of the feeder instead of running to wake you up every morning for breakfast. Simply put in the 4 D-cell batteries (not included), fill the feeder trays with dry food, and set the times for when your pet needs to eat. You can set up to five feeding times. Feed your pet once a day for five days, five times every day, or any other combination.
For example, if you feed your pet once a day, set one feeding time for their normal feeding time and fill each tray with up to one cup of dry food. Note that the first tray will be available to your pet. The feeder will rotate to the next tray at that same set time every day; all you have to do is re-fill the trays with food. If you feed your pet more than once a day, you can program up to five feeding times. Refill the trays every day and the feeder will do the rest.

How do I program my 5 Meal Feeder?
Setting the time:
- Press "clock", then press "set" until the hours flash.
- Press increase or decrease to set the hour.
- Press "set" until the minutes flash.
- Press increase or decrease to set the minutes.
- Press "clock" to finish setting the time of day.
Setting the first daily feeding time:
- Press the "clock", then increase until the daily feeding time indicator displays.
- Press "set" until the hours flash.
- Press increase or decrease to set the feeding hour.
- Press "set" until the minutes flash.
- Press increase or decrease to set the feeding minute.
- Press "clock" to finish setting the feeding time.
Set additional feeding times:
- Press "clock", then press increase to display the next daily feeding time.
- Repeat steps for setting the feeding time for each additional feeding.
- Remove a programmed feeding time:
- Press "clock," then press increase until the daily feeding time you wish to remove displays.
- Press "suspend feeding".
- Press "clock".
Suspend feeding (but retain programming):
Press and hold "suspend feeding" for 7 seconds, then release. The suspend feeding icon will appear in the upper right corner of the clock display. The “:” between the hours and minutes will flash once each second.
Resume feeding:
Press "clock", and the suspend feeding icon will disappear from the clock display.
