Important Precautions
Hazards to humans: K9 Advantix II causes eye irritation. Harmful if swallowed. Do not get in eyes or on clothing. Avoid contact with skin. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water after handling. Keep out of reach of children.

Hazards to domestic animals: K9 Advantix II is for external use only. Do not use on puppies under seven weeks of age. As with any product, consult your veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, or nursing animals. Individual sensitivities, while rare, may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs persist, or become more severe, consult a veterinarian immediately. If your animal is on medication, consult your veterinarian before using this or any product.

If applied to a cat, or ingested by a cat which actively grooms a recently treated dog, this product may have serious harmful effects. If this occurs, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Individual Sensitivities:

Storage and Disposal
Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from freezing. Pesticide Disposal: securely wrap original container in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash. Container Disposal: Do not reuse empty container. Wrap container and put in trash.

What makes Advantix II Special?
Synergistic Effect
The two active ingredients imidacloprid and permethrin are often used alone as effective treatments against parasites. However, the combination Advantix formula works synergistically to provide more protection than each of these ingredients alone. Together, they complement one another to enhance their effectiveness and provide complete protection against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes.

The active ingredient imidacloprid is an EPA approved topical insecticide that kills adult fleas by disrupting their nervous system. Fleas in their larval stages are also killed when they come in contact with the treated pet or their immediate surroundings. Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethrin compound commonly used to kill flying insects, fleas, and ticks. EPA approved for use in dogs, permethrin affects the nervous system of parasites, causing repetitive nerve firings that eventually paralyze and kill them. Permethrin is longer lasting and more stable than natural pyrethrin. For this reason, it is commonly found in repellents, premise sprays, and in products intended for slower, but sustained action. K9 Advantix II takes advantage of these properties to offer superior protection against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes.

Protection Against Fleas
K9 Advantix II stops fleas from biting in less than 5 minutes and kills 98-100% of fleas on your dog within 12 hours of application. K9 Advantix II kills fleas before they have a chance to lay eggs and also kills flea larva before they develop into biting fleas - thus breaking the flea life cycle. Re-infesting fleas are killed within 2 hours for reliable treatment against fleas of all stages. In many instances Advantix II is so effective it kills fleas before they have a chance to bite your pet, preventing conditions such as Flea Allergy Dermatitis.

Protection Against Ticks
K9 Advantix II repels and kills Deer Ticks, American Dog Ticks, Lone Star Ticks, and Brown Dog Ticks before they can latch onto your pet. It repels up to 98% of ticks to dramatically reduce disease spread by ticks.

Protection Against Mosquitoes
K9 Advantix II repels and kills mosquitoes before they can bite and needless to say, mosquitoes that don't bite can't annoy dogs or transmit disease. Research demonstrates K9 Advantix II kills up to 98.3% of mosquitoes and reduces their feeding up to 95.2%.

Waterproof Formula
K9 Advantix II remains effective after swimming or bathing. Even after repeated swims, or bathing it remains an effective treatment.

Easy Application
K9 Advantix II is a monthly topical treatment that is easily applied between your pet's shoulder blades. One application, applied along the back in two to six spots (depending on size of dog), will stop fleas from biting in 3 to 5 minutes and is gentle enough for puppies (7 weeks or older) and dogs of all sizes.
